Adam Sandler's Zohan 到6/11為止，在Rotten Tomatoes 只值35%的fresh。Tomatoes上的共識是說 "features intermittent laughs, and will please Sandler diehards, but after awhile the leaky premise wears thin"。但我是蠻享受這部電影的。Sandler式的笑話及性刻畫的確是粗俗，messy且有點過量地不斷重複，但電影前半部刻畫的Zohan--懷有成為80年代風格的紐約理髮師美國夢及super physical equipment的前Israeli特種部隊王牌--是確實給了我一個小時的魚尾紋完全綻放之狂笑。電影後半段，Sandler所嘗試呈現的Israeli-Palestinian relations和multicultural coexistence雖然是過度單純天真的 ，但至少它的討論不會嚴肅艱澀地讓人困惑或直接睡著。對於immigrant stereotype的反諷更是感同身受，哪個白人真得能靠長相分得清楚以色列人跟巴勒斯坦人？ 一貫地，Sandler很誠實且不偽善地用屬於他的俗民方式訴說對這議題的看法。何況，又有哪部電影能想到或敢用此種誇張方式來討論中東議題呢？ Woo, Zohan indeed pleases Sandler diehards (including me?)。
可惜，John Turturro (看了他在The Bronx is Buring後，就一直很喜歡他)在片裡的角色與服裝是已經從kuso退化成純粹白癡的地步，"no-no-no-no-no".... 不過看到Emmanuelle Chriqui的美麗，就不計較了....
